When we opened our doors a few years ago to install epoxy floors, we decided that we were going to offer the best service and the best products at a fair price.
You see, in business, these three things compete; Service, Quality and Price. If a business is going to last, you can't get the best of all three. If you have the best quality, the best service and the cheapest price, you won't be able to last in business. It is a great idea, but service and quality both cost money, and if you are the cheapest, too, the business can't survive.
You can only get two, so you have to choose:
Best Service and Lowest Price
Best Quality and Lowest Price
Best Service and Best Quality
For our epoxy garage floors, we chose Best Service and Best Quality, and we provide it all to you in Boise and the surrounding areas at a fair price.
An installed epoxy garage floor coating is really only as good as its bond to the floor underneath. Any applied finish requires a porous surface to attach to. Bare concrete in the garage has a skin on the surface designed to help reduce staining and create a smooth finish. That skin must be removed to bond any finish. Though an acid etch will open the surface a little, it also stays in the concrete forever, changes the PH levels and leaves most of the skin intact. The best prep for epoxy floors is a mechanical grind. We have an assortment of grinder sizes to ensure we can completely remove that skin from concrete and ensure lifelong adhesion.
The base coat of a triple-layer floor has two primary purposes:
1. Bond to the concrete and color flake
2. Provide an even color tone under the floor
There are two competing materials for this purpose, epoxy and polyaspartic polyurea. When properly applied to a well prepared surface, both compositions provide a great base coating. We have chosen to use a high quality epoxy for our base coat because it is a better fit. Our 2-part epoxy bonds so well to garage concrete that, when tested, the concrete fails before the epoxy garage floor separates. Epoxy has a worktime on the floor of up to an hour, meaning we can get a more consistent finish for a better end look. The polyaspartic polyurea base offers one advantage to the epoxy; it cures extremely fast. That fast cure requires more techs on a job to achieve a consistent finish, but jobs can be completed in one day, but the way we see it, in a couple of years, when you look at the beautifully installed floor, are you even going to remember if the installation took 1 day or 2?
We decided to go straight to the source. Believe it or not, there is only one company in the US that makes the color flakes used in epoxy floors . There are many distributors and lots of private label brands, but only one company makes the flakes, and we partner directly with them to provide you with the most options and the fastest order turn-time available for your epoxy garage floor Between the 6 size/texture options and over 150 solid colors, there are virtually no limits to the finishes we can achieve for you in Boise or the surrounding community.
The top coat of a finished floor is the most important. The only lasting option for a quality epoxy garage floor is a 2-part Polyaspartic Polyurea finish over the top of new epoxy floors . Without getting technical, it is the only finish that is:
Durable
Chemical resistant
Road salt resistant
Heat resistant
Impact resistant
Abrasion resistant
UV Stable
Easy to clean
